EACH MORNING BRINGS A NEW DAY!

Every morning you have two choices, continue your sleep with dreams or WAKE UP and chase your dreams.  CHOICE IS YOURS, GOOD MORNING!~~Anonymous

It IS a good morning in Central Texas albeit a bit chilly.  I walked out of the door of the cottage and the wind almost blew me back in.  I laughed watching 12 pound Kennedy marching out against a strong headwind!  Sadie was lovin' it ... the chillier it is, the better she functions!  Toby?  Well, Toby, just meandered out with his sister and new brother getting just far enough to do what he needed to do and head back towards the house.  Being the pawrent of the three amigos is very entertaining.

Come on Toby!

I just love looking through old photos on my computer and comparing them from the previous year to see if I am making progress on my dreams.  A year ago today, the cottage was nothing but a dilapidated garage that looked like the wind could blow it over.  Today, it is a charming cottage that gives me a place to write, pray, and meditate.  A year ago today, the back yard had a few plants and was nothing but dirt.  Today, it is like a park filled with interesting twists and turns.  One day at a time, my dreams were brought into focus.  Now if I can get some grass to grow, I will be a happy camper!

Some months ago, God put it on my heart to adopt a rescue dog.  As I mentioned in a previous blog, Hoda and Kathie Lee gave me the idea of searching on Petfinders which led me to Recycled Pomeranians.  I had to do the work of praying for the pet God wanted me to rescue, and going through website after website and dog bio after dog bio.  Today, I am blessed with the best rescue dog anyone could ask for.  Kennedy was a stray from Houston who found his way to Dallas then to my home in Central Texas.  Michael and I are a perfect fit to love Kennedy furever!

Most dreams take time to unfold and, for so many, the road seems way too tough and fraught with roadblocks.  Today, I want to encourage you to visualize what it would be like to make your dreams a reality.  Don't be afraid ... go for it (whatever "it" is!).  Afraid of failure?  Know what success is?  Failure turned inside out!  How does that grab you??!!

Today is a day of rest and relaxation ... a good day to think about what you would like to check off on your bucket list and make a reality.  As for me, I am going to take stock of the next project of my heart and take step 1.  How about you?

Always remember you are loved and prayed for ... YA YOU!!

  1. Kennedy is such a handsome fellow! What a blessing that he is in such a loving home. It is fascinating how God works in miraculous ways!

You have inspired me to put together a bucket list! Now that I have a little more time on my hands I can pray for direction. I have been so happy to have been set free that I haven't set any specific goals. Thanks for the gentle reminder.
